Program Associate
The Program Associate is a key member of the Program Team, contributing to the
planning and execution of all Create CA programs. The Program Associate is a
full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Arts Now Program Manager.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
● Provide input on and support for the Arts Now program
● Support facilitation of webinars, workshops, and events
● Create training content, facilitate meetings, draft communication, and design
materials for programs
● Support budgeting, marketing, and evaluation processes
● Provide administrative support to program staff including maintaining program
trackers, creating contracts, drafting correspondence, and managing scheduling
● Build and maintain program partnerships and establish community relationships
● Contribute to the creation and execution of recruitment strategy for Arts Now
programs
● Support data collection, analysis, and design of reports for Create CA programs
and school district LCAPs
● Lead research and outreach efforts for recruitment of program partners
● Support the collection and dissemination of stories about the impact of local
leaders working in communities around the state
● Attends weekly program meeting, tracks agenda, and supports follow up on
action items
Other:
● Represents Create CA to the public, works effectively with constituents, including
Board members, nonprofit arts organizations, independent contractors, vendors,
and the general public
● Evaluates administrative processes on an as needed basis, making
recommendations for future improvements or enhancements
● Occasional statewide travel to events and/or trainings may be required as health
and safety guidelines permit
Reporting:
● This position reports to the Arts Now Program Manager.
Preferred Qualifications:
● At least 2 years of professional and/or educational experience with coordination,
administrative work, and or project management
● Excellent social, communication skills, strong organizational skills, time
management, collaboration skills, and attention to detail
● Strong computer skills in using Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Canva,
Smartsheet, and Zoom
● Experience or knowledge of education policy and systems in California
● Commitment to advancing equity throughout various aspects of project work
Compensation & Benefits:
This full-time position is 40 hours per week with a range of $21.60
- $26.70/hour.

Location: Create CA offices are located in Pasadena, CA. However, this position is possible to
be fulfilled remotely and could be located anywhere in California.
