Corner House Studio is a children’s art school in Montclair Village, Oakland. Our mission is to build creative confidence in kids — the willingness to start before you know how something will turn out, and to keep going when things aren’t working yet — so they can grow into people who make change in their world. We do this through skill-building lessons in drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, collage, and mixed media, taught by teaching artists. Our programming is designed to encourage engagement, develop craft, support agency, and create belonging. Every lesson pairs real technique with genuine choice. Our programs include weekly studio art classes for ages 4–12+, full-day art camps on school breaks and throughout the summer, drop workshops and evening events.
We’re eager to partner with schools that want to bring high-quality, confidence-building art instruction to their students through enrichment classes, on-site programming, break camps, or custom collaborations.
